WHAT IS BIM ?
BIM or Building Information Modeling (BIM) is an intelligent and adaptive 3D model-based process that provides insights, the option to plan and see the effect, and tools to architects, engineers, and construction professionals to more efficiently and safely plan, design, engineer, construct, and manage buildings and infrastructure throughout the project’s lifecycle, from the drawing board to construction and maintenance.
BIM (Building Information Modeling) involves the creation of parametric, relational, Intelligent, dynamic, and real-time, 3D models instead of 2D perspective drawings. A BIM is based on a digital database, and any change made to this database is reflected throughout the entire drawing or 3D Model. This allows everyone involved in the building lifecycle – architects, engineers, contractors, developers, and building owners – to sync together, allowing them to view the model in different ways and seamlessly share information.
